2. Extent of the processing of personal data

In principle, we process the personal data of our users only to the extent necessary for the provision of a functioning website. The processing of our users’ personal data typically takes place only with the users’ consent. An exception applies to cases in which prior consent cannot be obtained for reasons of fact and when the processing of the data is permitted by law.

3. Legal basis for the processing of personal data
In accordance to Article 4 (1) of the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as ‘GDPR’), any process or series of operations performed with or without the aid of automated procedures is considered to be related to personal data, such as collection, recording, organization, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, blocking, erasure or destruction.

With the following privacy policy, we would like to inform you in particular about the nature, scope, purpose, duration and legal basis of the processing of personal data, as far as we decide either alone or jointly with others on the purposes and means of the processing of personal data. In addition, we inform you below about the third-party components we use for optimization purposes and to increase the quality of use, insofar as third parties process data as a result of this on their own responsibility.

4.  Provision of the website and creation of log files

Each time you visit our website, our systems automatically record data and information from the computer system of the visiting computer.
Thereby, the following data is collected:

  • Information about the browser type and version used
  • The operating system of the user
  • The Internet service provider of the user
  • The IP address of the user
  • The date and time of access to the website
  • The address of the site from which the user’s system was referred to our website
  • Websites accessed by the user’s system through our website

The data is also stored in the log files of our system. Through that, the users’ IP addresses or other data that enable the assignment of the users’ data are not affected. The data is not stored together with the other personal user data.

The legal basis for the temporary saving of data and log files is Article 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary in order to deliver the website to the user’s computer. To do this, the IP address of the user must remain stored for the duration of the session.

Storage in log files is carried out to ensure the functionality of the website. The data is also used to optimize the website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. An evaluation of the data for marketing purposes does not take place in this context.

The data are deleted when they are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were stored. In the case of storage of data in log files, this takes place after no more than seven days. An additional storage is possible. In this case, the IP addresses of the user are deleted or anonymized to prevent them from being traced back to the visiting client.

The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of the data in log files is essential for the operation of the website. Consequently, there is no possibility to object on the part of the user.
